Hi! I’m Alan.
I've spent much of my adult life helping people, organizations and myself look inward, look outward, reflect, and then take meaningful steps forward. For me, that meant answering the call to retire from a corporate career at 40 to dedicate myself to a life deeply rooted to place, community and purpose.
My work has taken many forms.
As a healthcare executive at a Fortune 10 company, I led the transformation of care and service for American seniors across a national, multi-faceted enterprise.
As a management consultant, I helped organizations rediscover what made them unique and translate those strengths into strategy and action.
As a non-profit board member, I help bring energy, focus and capacity to organizations building resilience in individuals, communities and the broader region.
As a wilderness guide, I help people bridge their inner and outer wilds while discovering how their unique gifts might be put in service of something larger than themselves.
And as a mentor, I work with both individuals and organizations to create space for reflection, help cultivate clarity around what matters most, and take the next step towards realizing it.
For individuals, that might mean navigating a transition, finding a new direction, making a difficult decision, or reconnecting with a sense of purpose.
For organizations, it might mean clarifying vision, navigating change, reconnecting with what makes the organization distinctive, strengthening leadership, or building resilience.
My role isn't to prescribe an answer, but to listen deeply, ask useful questions, share what I've learned through experience, and help support the discovery of an authentic way forward.
